In this video Metagate experiments with the interoperability between OVER and Alexa to get as close as possible to the concept of mixed reality. The idea is that the user wearing smart glasses in this context would have a hard time understanding what is real and what is digital. This should happen not only for the graphic rendering, but also in the interactions, sounds and lights, which dialogue between real and virtual.
The usecase itself is created for display purposes for a store where we try to use both the "Wow" effect of the experience and the positive reinforcement of a tangible reward such as simple sweets. Furthermore, the experience is easily reusable in different locations or adaptable to other contexts.
Technically:
Santa Claus, the first music, animations and interactions are made on the OVER Unity SDK.
The trigger on the gift box directly launches a routine on Alexa that controls: the second music, the change of lights, the lights of the tree and the candy dispenser.
Naturally the experience was loaded at the North Cape
